North Caldwell has been ranked by New Jersey Monthly as on of the top towns to live in and is described by its Mayor as the ‘Green Jewel” of Essex County due to its winding roads and rolling hills. North Caldwell is primarily made up of owner occupied single family homes. North Caldwell maintains a community pool, four athletic fields, six tennis courts and two playground areas. North Caldwell is part of the West Essex Regional School District which serves grades 7-12. The school district includes the towns of Essex Fells, Fairfield and Roseland.
